Roll Call and
Introductions: The meeting was
called to order at 5:34 pm by George Brendler (President). Present were
Trustees: George Brendler, Debby Powers, Jill Beeman, Kristin
McAuliffe and Terry Tregan. Also,
attending were Frances Fairchild (Director).
Public Forum
Friends of the Library. No report.
Review of minutes for
November 18, 2015:
Motion made by Debby
to accept the minutes, seconded by Kristen, motion passed.
Treasurer's Report:
Checking acct balance as of November 30, 2015 is $55,087.59.
Checking acct balance as of December 31, 2015 is $91,647.25.
Tax levy money received $37,500, $2350 was received from the
holiday drive, and $796.33 received from the quilt raffle. $500 donated from Lee and Kay Kern for book
purchases. Debby will prepare the budget for the next meeting.
Motion made to
accept Treasurer's report by Jill, seconded by Terry, motion passed.
Director' Report:
Activities ongoing.
Nan Hoffman has been scheduled for July 20, 2016 at a cost
of $250. Working on other activities, we have $600 from Stewart grant for these
activities.
Correspondence:
Thank you notes will be sent to Laura Shambo, Jim West, and
the Kerns.
Committee Reports:
Collections – Ongoing, $984.98 available.
Policies – Trustees have received 2015 NYS Trustee
Handbook.
Public Relations/Programs -
Book signing by Kristen Hotaling on Dec 10 was successful.
Property Maintenance –
.
Old Business:
George and Debby attended the CEFLS workshop on Building a
board Dec 7.
Karen Clark of Chazy won the quilt on Dec 17.
Jim West repaired the side door closer.
Director evaluation has been filed.
Motion made by
George, 2nd by Jill, to change library hours.
Motion was passed, new hours eff Feb 1, will be T & TH
12:30 pm –7 pm,
WED 10 am-5 pm, SAT
9 am-2 pm., which is still 25 hours.
Motion made by
Terry, 2nd by Jill for George to get information from CEFL on the
E-RATE application.
New Business:
Sunshine fund collection.
Blue library flag needs to be replaced, Debby will order a
new one.
$1000 will be put in the budget for tech support.
Motion made by
Kristin, 2nd by Terry to go into executive session, 7 pm.
Motion made by
Kristin, 2nd by Debby to come out of executive session, 7:20 pm.
Motion made by
George, 2nd by Jill to offer Becky Favreau the janitorial position
at a rate of $11/hr for 2-3 hours a week.
Meeting was adjourned at 7:30 pm.

24 at 5:30 pm.
