Trustees of the Chazy
Public Library

Roll Call and
Introductions: The meeting was
called to order at 5:35pm by George Brendler (President). Present were
Trustees: George Brendler, Debby Powers,
Jill Beeman, and Kristen McAuliffe,
absent was Tammy Braun . Also, attending were Frances Fairchild
(Director) and Rae McAuliffe (FOL).
Public Forum
Friends of the
Library report: Friends of the Library
will hold its annual membership meeting on May 7 at the library at 6pm. There
will be a guest speaker, Ellen Adams, curator of the Alice T. Miner Museum.
Review of minutes for
March 25, 2015:
Motion made by Debby
to accept the minutes, seconded by George, motion passed.
Treasurer's Report:
Checking acct balance as of March 31, 2015 is $72,769.62.
Motion made to accept Treasurer's report by Jill, seconded
by George, motion passed.
We will be getting $5000 from the Jean Marleau estate, the
money will be deposited into
the Raymond James account.
Director' Report:
Focus groups are needed for the Early Literacy Community Asset
Analysis, Francie will try to meet with Kristen and Tammy.
The community room has several activities scheduled in the
coming month.
Jill made a motion to approve the Annual Library Report,
seconded by George, motion passed.
Correspondence:
Jill needs to get request to Stewarts for ice cream kits for
Sweet Adelines event on August 6.
Karen Pepper is taking a leave of absence for the summer, we
expect her back in the Fall.
CEF inquiry about our interest in movie licensing, we are
not interested at this time.

Collections - Ongoing.
Programs -

Town wide garage sale, July 25.
Policies- Hard
copy of new Salary/Benefit policy was given to Trustees for their handbooks.
Public Relations - Debby will create a Summer calendar to give to
elementary students to take home at the end of the school year.
Property Maintenance – Side door is being repaired.
Dehumidifier and backup sump pump have been purchased.
Jill will contact Girl Scouts about planting flowers around
flag pole.
Old Business:
Report to the Community pamphlet is complete.
Debby has completed the Tax Cap form online.
Carpets have been cleaned.
Security system has been installed.
New Business:
Volunteer window cleaners were a no show.
Public hearing for the budget is May 12, at 7pm, in school
auditorium.
Budget vote is May 19, 9AM-8PM, school auditorium.
Meeting was adjourned at 6:35pm.
